Ice Ice Baby

We may be complaining about the heat now but it wasn’t that long ago we shivered our way through the coldest September we’ve had for a while in what seemed like a Perth winter that was never ending. Just as well the hotel had its six original fire places ready to go!

Our patience was well and truly put to the test as our shiny new Beer Garden had to wait for worthy weather to arrive. Once Spring had finally sprung, all was well with the Beer Garden getting its long awaited debut in the sunshine! Since then, many a Super Sunday sesh has been enjoyed, with over 900 Bloody Mary’s with nice buns made, helping people recover from big Saturday nights!

Designed to share, but that doesn’t mean you have to…

Cheeseburger spring rolls… What are these you ask? We can’t give away the recipe, that’s top secret, but literally think cheeseburger in a spring roll – a match made in heaven!

This would have to be one of our top sellers and the most instagramed foodie item of 2016! To be exact, we have sold 10,453 servings since May! If you haven’t tried these yet, you’re missing out!

We love a party!

The Vaudeville Room on level 1 (fondly nicknamed as “Vaude” by the staff) is the private space that can be booked exclusively for functions. Since opening, a number of celebrations have taken place in this stunning old world space, including our very first wedding on the 22nd October. The happy couple decided on a cocktail style wedding for guests to mingle, which we are all about!

Gilly Up

There was no horsing around for us on Melbourne Cup day – our level 1 Picnic Package sold out and the ground floor frolic was hot to trot. GH Mumm Champagne was pouring, and many a hat and fascinator was fluffed and carefully placed. We even dressed up some of our staff as jockeys!

Pints Won

Such a hot topic in Perth last year that we decided to open the voting polls and ask the masses if you preferred pints or schooners. Voting lines were open for just over a week with more than 1600 votes received! On 30th November the verdict was in and the Gilly started serving pints and middies!

We got Appy

We got with the times on the 1st August and introduced an App at The Guildford Hotel. Not only has this allowed our patrons to access exclusive offers (such as our $15 Limited Edition Cocktail Art and our $10 Level 1 Bespoke Gin Grin), it also allows customers to accrue points while they check in on Facebook, pay your bill conveniently with mobile payments and redeem points for food and beverage vouchers. Even better, we shared the love by offering free credit!

TGH meets Cali

For our very first New Year’s Eve The Guildford Hotel converted into the streets of Los Angeles with a paparazzi entry, Hollywood lights, Venice beach and loads of entertainment including one killer DJ!

We served G&T’s and Nitro Espresso Martini’s into the wee hours and celebrated the arrival of 2017 in true LA after party style! And did you hear about our In- N- Out Cheeseburger Bar? We are still dreaming about those buns! Check out our facebook album here!
